USE
- MORE AND MOST
MORE is
the comparative form of MUCH and MANY.
Example:
I drink more
tea than I used to
MOST is
the superlative form of MUCH and MANY.
Example:
In the north
of the country, they get the most rain.
- LESS AND LEAST
LESS is
the comparative form of LITTLE
LEAST is the
superlative form of LITTLE
FEWER AND
FEWEST
FEWER is the
comparative form of FEW
FEWEST is the
superlative form of FEW
NOTE:
FEWER and
FEWEST are seldom used now. LESS and LEAST are often used for both countable
and uncountable nouns.
All these
words are also used as pronouns. Example: He was paid more than I was. (He was
paid more money than I was).
