THERE IS significa EXISTE
THERE ARE significa EXISTEM
THERE WILL BE significa HAVERÁ
O verbo HAVER no passado é THERE WAS ou THERE WERE
THERE HAS/HAVE BEEN é o verbo HAVER no PRESENT PERFECT.

Exemplos:
There is a big tree in the garden.
Is there a good film on TV this evening ?
There are some big trees in the garden.
Are there any letters for me today ?
I was hungry but there wasn't anything to eat.
Was there a good film on TV yesterday evening ?
There were 250 rooms.
Were there any letters for me yesterday morning ?
Do you think there will be a lot of people at the party on Saturday ?
There will be some rain in the afternoon.
